Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This policy explains how MJO Mortgage Brokers Pty Ltd (ABN 93 939 380 198), trading as Yellow Brick Road ("we", "us"), collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use this website. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you complete the loan health check form on this site, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, email address and postcode;
- Your current home loan balance;
- Your current interest rate;
- Whether you have refinanced in the last 12 months.
We also automatically collect limited technical information, including your browser type and the address of the page you submitted the form from. This is used for security and to measure how our advertising performs.
Why we collect it
We collect this information so that we — or an appointment setter acting on our behalf — can contact you to arrange a free, no-obligation call with a Yellow Brick Road broker, and so the broker can give you relevant guidance about your loan. If you do not provide this information, we may not be able to arrange the call or assess your options.
By submitting the form you consent to us contacting you by phone, SMS or email about your enquiry. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the contact details below.
Who we share it with
- Yellow Brick Road brokers and the Yellow Brick Road network, so your enquiry can be actioned;
- Appointment setters engaged by us to book your call;
- Lenders and credit providers, where you ask us to explore or apply for a loan;
- Service providers who host this website and store form submissions on our behalf (our forms are hosted by Netlify, which may store data outside Australia);
- Anyone else you authorise, or where we are required or permitted by law.
Advertising and tracking
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure which ads lead to genuine enquiries, this site uses the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API.
We do not send your financial details to Meta. Your loan balance, interest rate and refinancing history are never shared with Meta or any advertising platform. They are only used by us and your broker.
When you submit the form, we send Meta:
- Your email address, phone number, name and postcode in hashed form — converted into an irreversible string of characters that Meta uses only to check whether it matches an existing account, and cannot be read back as your details;
- The fact that an enquiry was submitted, and which ad click it came from.
The Meta Pixel also sets cookies (_fbp and _fbc) in your browser to
link your enquiry to the ad you clicked. You can control how Meta uses your data through your
Facebook ad preferences,
and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking these cookies will
not stop you from using this site or submitting the form.
How we hold your information
Form submissions are stored in our website platform's secure form storage and are accessible only to us. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no charge for making a request.
Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
